NMHU Media Arts students graduate with a strong foundation in audio/video production, digital imaging, graphic design, and/or physical computing. Students with a concentration/focus (?) in cultural technology have taken additional course work and participated in one or more internship that prepare them for work in the cultural industry. The cultural technology skill set, however, is highly adaptable to changes in the job market and broadly applicable to employment in all sectors of the creative economy.
Firms that have hired our graduates include Ideum, Desert Elements Design, a web development firm in Santa Fe, HK Advertising, one of Santa Fe’s high-end advertising firms, and Cisneros Design, one of Santa Fe’s premier design firms, as well as non-profit organizations like the Santa Fe Animal Shelter.
