Host An AmeriCorps member!

The AmeriCorps Cultural Technology Program is a partnership between the Department of Media Arts & Technology at New Mexico Highlands University and the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. Current students and recent graduates of the Media Arts and Technology program at NMHU are ready to be mentored eager to participate in New Mexico’s Cultural Institutions. They have solid foundations in graphic design, videography, web and mobile app development, photography, and/or interactive multimedia technologies.

What are the options and financial responsibilities for my institution?
The AmeriCorps Cultural Technology Program offers a unique cost sharing approach to paying your AmeriCorps member stipend. AmeriCorps will match funds 1:1 and New Mexico Highlands University will pay the sstudent directly.
There are several options:
1700 hours 35 hours per week from October 1, 2016 – August 31, 2017
Matching requirement $15,124.50
900 hours 20 hours per week from October 1, 2016 – August 31, 2017
900 hours 30 hours per week from October 1, 2016 – April 30, 2017
900 hours 30 hours per week from February 1, 2017 – August 31, 2017
Matching requirement $6255.56
300 hours 38 hours per week from June 1, 2017 – July 31, 2017, or, during fall/spring semesters October 1 – April 30 ten hours per week
Matching requirement $2,566.35
